Funding Opportunities

Below is a list of funding opportunities to address homelessness and housing. Open Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), and Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFO) are shown with a link to the opportunity, a brief description, funder, and deadline.

Annual Notice of Funding Opportunity 

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) annually releases the Continuum of Care Program Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), a grant that supports our community’s commitment to ending homelessness. The complete program regulations can be found under 24 CFR Part 578.

The FY 2025 NOFO was released by HUD on November 13, 2025, with a regional submission date of January 14, 2026. Please see the below resources for more information. More information regarding the application materials will be provided soon.

Key Dates for Applicants

Providers applying for funding must submit both a local application and an e-snaps application. Applicants must complete both applications for the local competition, which occurs prior to the consolidated application deadline.

  • The local application must be submitted by December 5, 11:50 p.m.
  • The e-snaps application must be submitted by December 12, 11:50 p.m.
    • (Note: As of December 1, 12 p.m., the e-snaps portal has not yet opened.)
  • Interviews for applicants submitting new projects applications (including those applying for transition grants) will occur on December 16.

Launch Session

The Maricopa CoC hosted a FY2025 NOFO Launch Session on Wednesday, November 26. This session provided information for both Renewal and New applications, including existing projects wishing to transition to new project types offered in this NOFO. Grant Platforms and Resources in Arizona

Grants.gov: a centralized platform where you can search and apply for federal grants across more than 1,000 programs from 26+ federal agencies.

Arizona State Government Portal: A centralized hub listing available grants from Arizona state agencies.

Arizona Community Foundation: Provides year-round grant opportunities for nonprofits, tribal organizations, educational institutions, and government bodies.

Arizona Grants via The GrantPortal: A national grant engine with a dedicated section for Arizona opportunities, covering nonprofits and small businesses alike.
